Benefits of Membership
There are many web sites dedicated to the art and science of building web sites in general. We aim to be the primary source of advice and guidance for Masonic webmasters in particular.
Whilst we aim to provide numerous links to topics of interest to any webmaster, here you will also be able to ask questions specific to problems that arise in the preparation of Lodge, Provincial, District, etc websites for all Masonic Orders.
Membership of the Association of Masonic Webmasters brings with it the following benefits:
- Opportunities to contact other Masonic Webmasters for help and advice from their peers
- A forum to discuss best practice
- Solutions for problems arising in the building and editing of Masonic websites
- A chance to review new ideas and methods
- News items of particular interest to Masonic webmasters
- Hints and tips
- External links to useful articles on site building topics

Who can Join the AMW?
Anyone who is the Webmaster or Information Officer for a Lodge, Chapter, Conclave, etc, or a Grand Lodge etc, Province or District can become a member of the Association of Masonic Webmasters on payment of the joining fee.
Whilst I am the webmaster for a Masonic website, I am not a member of a Masonic organisation. Can I still become a member of the AMW?
Yes. You can also contact us, of course, if you want to join us and do not meet the membership requirements. Please send an email outlining your reasons.
Are there any conditions of membership?
Yes. They are set out in our Terms and Conditions.
What about Amity?
The constitution of your Masonic organisation is irrelevant. We welcome Webmasters and Information Officers from all Masonic organisations, but 'excited discussions' of our differences of approach to Masonry are not permitted in articles or on the forum.
How much does it cost?
Membership of the Association of Masonic Webmasters costs just £5.00 (GBP 5).
Why do I have to pay?
Whilst the AMW is not a business, we do have costs that need to be paid. By becoming a member, you are making a contribution to our overheads.
How long will it take to set up my membership?
As I say, we are not a business, just a few individuals trying to help each other. It can take a few days to arrange your membership if we are away from our computers. Allow a couple of days, but most requests are dealt with in a few hours.
What will happen if there's a profit?
You already know the answer - it will be donated to a charity to be decided at the time.
How do I pay?
To join us, simply click on the PayPal link to make your payment.
Please note:
After you pay to join the
AMW, you may be sent an email to verify that you meet the membership
qualifications. If you have applied and paid in error, your fee will be
refunded LESS the charge made against us for processing the
application.
I do not have a PayPal account. What happens now?
You need a PayPal account to pay us. If you do not already have an account with PayPal, you will be required to provide a few personal details to create your account when you visit the PayPal site.
Can I pay another way?
If you would like to pay by cheque, etc, please contact the Association Secretary. Payments must be made in GB Pounds.
